At INDIRA, along with the comprehensive academic inputs, equal emphasis is attached to the all-round development of the student. This objective is achieved by encouraging the students to organize and participate in seminars, debates, workshops, quizzes as well as management games and competitions. Majority of the activities are carried out in close association with the faculty and the management, which helps the faculty to understand and analyse the student better and also acts as a feedback system for the management.

Considering the need to make our youth bold, prepared and outspoken, Indira College of Commerce & Science organizes the State level Intercollegiate Debating Competition every year. This debating competition is in the memory of 'Late Shri Shankarrao Wakalkar', an eminent social worker and educationist from Pune.
